: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) reportedly found serious irregularities in documents seized from Rose Valley offices during raids in Tripura last week.
Sleuths of the Central agency which is probing the non-banking financial company (NBFC) across India will arrive this week to speed up investigation, highly placed sources said on Monday.
Several teams of the CBI conducted raids in Rose Valley facilities and residences of its directors on March 4. They were assisted by finance officers of Central government offices.
Rucksacks of documents of property and financial transactions were seized from Rose Valley corporate office in Agartala and elsewhere.
The directors and officials were questioned for hours.
The CBI did not notify the Tripura government on its plan to conduct raids, but sought assistance from the State police at the last moment.
Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, also the Home Minister, had also pleaded ignorance about their arrival.
The CBI thoroughly examined the documents and reportedly found gross anomalies.
The agency is coming again this week and this time they would be on the job for at least for three days, sources stated.
There is a speculation that the Central agency would try to explore the political link in chit fund scenario in Tripura.
Rose Valley has been the biggest NBFC in Tripura and is operating in every nook and corner of the State.
