Anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare, who has been on a fast for the Lokpal Bill, has appealed to Parliament to pass the Bill at the earliest. The Bill will be discussed in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday.
His fast entered the seventh day on Monday. “Now that most parties have said they support the Bill, I appeal to Parliament to pass it,” Mr. Hazare said on Monday.
He will watch the Rajya Sabha proceedings on TV on Tuesday, the former IPS officer, Kiran Bedi, said. “He will watch the proceedings on TV so that nobody can say he is being misguided,” she said, taking a dig at AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, who had alleged that people around Mr. Hazare had persuaded him to accept the Bill.

Asked why both sides were indulging in mudslinging at a time when the two-year struggle was about to end, she said, “We are merely stating that Anna is not being misled. The allegations started from Arvind. I just clarified saying we are all well read, and Anna is a very senior person who understands the issue.” “It is time to share credit and not make allegations,” she said.
Doctors monitoring Mr. Hazare said he had lost 4.3 kg in the last six days of fasting and was “considerably weak.” They advised Mr. Hazare to take glucose water, but he refused.
