Maharashtra Social Justice Minister Shivajirao Moghe on Thursday said the government will include the amendments proposed by the opposition parties in the anti-superstition Bill, introduced in the State Assembly on Wednesday.
Speaking to media persons outside the State Assembly, Mr. Moghe said, “We have received suggestions from many people and activists. We will consider all the opinions and will carry out proper discussion in the House before passing the Bill.”
But Lower House did not witness any discussion on the Bill until late evening.

However, BJP leader Sudhir Manguntiwar expressed confidence that the Bill would be passed in the current winter session.
“The Chief Minister has made a commitment to pass this Bill in the ongoing session. I don’t think the BBill will be sent to the select committee. After discussion in both Houses, the Bill will be passed,” Mr. Manguntiwar told The Hindu.
