The special task force of the Uttar Pradesh police has claimed to have zeroed in on the kingpin of the racket thought to be behind the All-India Engineering Entrance Examination question paper leak on Sunday.

The STF's claim follows the arrest of Phool Chand, a clerk of the Punjab National Bank (PNB) at Jaunpur in the State. His brother Deen Dayal, alias Deenu alias Sanjay Singh, is said to be the kingpin. Deen Dayal, who has been in the nefarious trade for long and owns property at Jaunpur, Ghaziabad, Noida and Delhi, is reported to have gone underground since the racket was unearthed on Sunday. His name emerged after Phool Chand's interrogation.

Since the leak was detected in Lucknow, an FIR was lodged at the Hazratganj station here on Sunday by the Joint Secretary of the Central Board of Secondary Education, Allahabad.
