Two killed, 30 injured as bus falls in gorge in J&K

Two persons were killed and 30 others injured when a bus, carrying a marriage party, skidded off the road and rolled down into a gorge at Sananghat in Basohli tehsil of Kathua district, police said here today.

In the mishap which occurred last night, nine-year-old Tanantar Singh and driver of the bus Rakesh Kumar were killed on the spot, while 30 others were injured, they said.

In another accident, one person identified as Bittu was killed and 14 others were injured when a bus, carrying a marriage party, turned-turtle on Jammu-Pathankot national highway at Hiranagar in the same district, they said.

Police has registered cases in both the accidents, they said.
