RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav has once again appealed to the Maoists to come forward for talks and drop their arms.

“Give up violence, and talk your problems. There is nothing like treading the path of non—violence,” Mr. Yadav said while addressing a poll meeting at Satvarva in Koderma Assembly constituency on Wednesday.

Appealing to the electorate to vote for RJD’s Annapurna Devi from Koderma, the former Bihar Chief Minister said, in a lighter vein, “Vote for Lalu and reduce the rate of Aaloo (Potatoes)“.

He blamed the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre for the growing price rise and charged the BJP of “dividing the society on religious grounds“.

“Vote for RJD as it is the only party which can control price of essential commodities and check the BJP from inciting communal disharmony,” claimed Mr. Yadav.

Koderma is among the constituencies going for the second phase of polling scheduled on December 2.
