Parrikar accepts Z category security cover in Goa

The Goa police are relieved that Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has finally accepted ‘Z’ category police security while in the State.

Earlier this month, a post card signed ‘IS,’ threatening to eliminate the Defence Minister and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their alleged anti-beef policies, was received by the State General Administration Department.

Last week, the Goa police briefed Mr. Parrikar of the post card episode.

“We are taking precautions in view of the post card and the general security situation,” said Goa DGP, T.N. Mohan.
