Now IT park in Himachal

The Himachal Pradesh government is developing an information technology park in Solan district, official sources said on Wednesday.

The park will be spread over an area of 64.73 acres in Waknaghat village at an estimated cost of about Rs 462 crore, IT Principal Secretary B K Aggarwal said in a statement here.

The broad concept of the project envisages to set up a destination comprising core (IT) activity and value addition such as residential and commercial, social infrastructure on public private partnership model.

Mr. Aggarwal said the state government has already invited global tenders for setting up of this park and the last date for submission of the bid is October 26, 2009.

He said the state was making best use of e-governance, which has resulted in transparency, efficiency and speedy disposal of grievances of the people.
