The Ministry of Environment and Forests is considering giving a fresh hearing to the controversial Adarsh Co-operative Housing Society regarding the demolition order issued against it this January, Additional Solicitor-General Darius Khambatta said in the Bombay High Court on Tuesday.
He said the ministry would file an affidavit two weeks after the hearing. The court would hear the matter on March 25.

Meanwhile, the Division Bench of Justices Ranjana Desai and Rajesh Ketkar adjourned the hearing of another Adarsh-related matter, in which the society had appealed that its bank accounts be de-freezed. It will now be heard on March 16.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) may also submit its progress report on the investigation of the society to the court on March 16.
A slew of petitions relating to the society have been filed in the Bombay High Court, a few of which the court has clubbed. The society members have filed a petition challenging the demolition order and the stoppage of water and electricity supply to the society.

The court has handed the case over to the CBI, acceding to the petitions filed requesting so.
