Imphal goes without newspapers

October 28, 2010 03:19 am | Updated 03:19 am IST - IMPHAL:

No newspapers hit the stands in Imphal on Wednesday as the editors and reporters stayed away from office in view of the death threat held out by a militant outfit.

This is the second time in 10 days that newspapers have not been brought out due to militant threats.

One group had issued a press release for publication in the newspapers. However, another group asked the editors and reporters to spike it.
