INLD releases first list; Chautala to contest from Uchana Kalan

The opposition Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) on Friday released its first list of 42 candidates, including five women, for the October 13 assembly elections in Haryana.

The party chief and former Chief Minister Om Parkash Chautala, in a statement issued here, announced that he will contest from Uchana Kalan assembly constituency in Jind district.

The president of the Haryana unit of the party and former minister Ashok Arora has been fielded from Thanesar in Kurukshetra district.

Besides the five women, the party has fielded around 10 youth, former ministers and MLAs besides office bearers of the state and the district units.

The women fielded are Kanta Devi -- Jhajjar, Swatantar Bala Chaudhary--Fatehabad, Sheela Bhyana -- Barwala, Seema Devi -- Uklana and Shashibala Tewatia -- Pirthala with the last two being youth also.

The youths fielded by the party include Pradeep Chaudhary -- Kalka, Dilbagh Singh -- Yamunanagar, Narinder Sangwan -- Gharaunda, Ashok Kashyap -- indri, Atul Malik -- Gohana, Charanjit Singh -- Kalanwali and Satish Nandal -- Garhi Sampla Kiloi.

The other candidates are Jaswinder Singh Sandhu -- Pehowa, Jagdish Nayyar -- Hodal, Gopi Chand Gehlot -- Badshahpur, Vasudev Sharma -- Bhiwani, Nafe Singh Rathi -- Bahadurgarh, Balbir Singh Bali -- Meham and Gian Chand Oad -- Rattia.

Nishan Singh Kamboj -- Tohana, Krishan Pawar -- Israna, Bishan Lal Saini -- Radaur, Sher Singh Badshami -- Ladwa and Mamuram Gaundar -- Nilokheri are among the other candidates.

The party has fielded Suresh Kumar Mittal -- Panipat city, Krishan Gopal Tyagi -- Ghanaur, Raju Dhanak --Kharkhauda, Kapur Singh Narwal -- Baroda, Raghbir Singh -- Bhadra, Dharampal Obra -- Loharu, Gajraj Singh -- Tosham and Ranvir Singh gangway.

INLD has also announced the candidature of Padam Jain -- Sirsa, par minder Singh Dhul -- Julana, Kehar Singh Rawat -- Hathin, Azad Balmiki -- Bhawani Khera, Nagaram Balmiki -- Kalanaur, ram Singh Kodwa -- Naraingarh, Phul Singh Balmiki -- Guhla Cheeka and Pirthi Singh -- Narwana.
