Hooda lays foundation stone for sub-stations

The Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda laid the foundation stone for the two sub-stations, Ramba (132 KV) and Rindle (33 KV) near here on Thursday.

The sub stations will be set up by the Haryana Power Utilities at a total cost of over Rs. 16 crore.

Electricity consumers of 50 villages of the adjoining areas will benefit by way of better voltage and continuity of power supply after the construction of these sub stations.

Mr. Hooda also inaugurated the newly constructed 132 KV sub station, Bhadson.

The sub-station has been constructed by the Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam at a cost of Rs.10 crore.

Speaking on the occasion, he said, the government had spent about Rs. 258 crore since April, 2005, to strengthen the transmission and distribution network in the district.

As many as 16 sub stations had been commissioned and the existing capacity of 15 sub-stations had been augmented.

The Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitan Nigam had released 5358 new tube-well connections and added 7231 new distribution transformers in the system. Power supply in 24 villages and 4 residential colonies of Karnal through Low Voltage Distribution System was arranged to ensure reliable and qualitative power supply.
