Himachal village to get Textile Park

An integrated Textile Park is likely to be set up at village Thathal in Amb tehsil of Una district by Himachal Textile Park Limited for establishing state of art manufacturing acilities over an area of 65 acres of land with emphasis on Technical Textile. This was revealed by Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal in the meeting of 46th State-level Single Window Clearance and Monitoring Authority Meeting here on Wednesday.

Fourteen new proposals for setting up of different types of industrial units and one expansion proposal of the existing unit with total proposed investment of Rs. 73.52 crore and generating employment to 462 persons were also cleared in the meeting.

Chief Minister said that the proposed integrated Textile Park would provide common infrastructure and facilities for setting up of the textile units by their member units. He said that the management of the proposed park would be investing Rs. 107 crore over the development of the Park where 2,200 persons would be engaged in different activities in the projects. He said that Park had been targeted for completion by the end of next financial year.
