The special trial court had identified and held five accused responsible for killing former MP Ehsan Jafri, whose body was never recovered from his posh bungalow in the massacre site at Gulbarg society.
The court held 11 persons guilty of murdering 69 people while dropping the conspiracy charge and also rape charge levelled by some witnesses during the course of protracted trial that had begun in 2009.
The five accused who have been convicted for lynching the former MP are Yogendrasinh Shekhawat, Jayesh Jingar, Krishnakumar, Jayesh Parmar and Naran Tank. All of them were sentenced to life impriosnment for 14 years.

Shekhawat has been found guilty of murdering Jafri and eight others while Jayesh Jingar was found responsible for four others besides killing Jafri. Another convict, Naran Tank, has been found guilty for the brutal killings of six others in addition to the ex-MP.
Three accused who have been convicted for the murder Dinesh Sharma, Lakhansinh Chudasama and Yogendrasinh Shekhawat have been acquitted of rape charges by the trial court judge P.B. Desai, who delivered his verdict.
Another accused who has been found guilty of other charges like arson and rioting has also been exonerated of rape charges by the trial court.

According to the court's verdict, Chudasama killed two women while blowing up the society's main gate that led to the armed crowd storming the houses inside and Sharma killed four persons inside the society.
Kailash Dhobi also helped Chudasama in blowing up the front gate and the court found him guilty of killing six persons.
