Four more test positive for swine flu in Chattisgarh

With four more persons, including an eight-year-old girl, on Wednesday testing positive for the swine flu, the total number of confirmed cases in Chattisgarh reached seven, health officials said.

“The National Institute of Communicable diseases in Delhi has confirmed that throat sawb samples of four persons from the state has tested positive for the virus,” State Health Coordinator Pramod Singh said.

The girl had recently visited New Delhi and is suspected to have contracted the virus there.

So far throat samples of 220 people have been sent for testing and results of 25 is still awaited, he added.

Earlier, a CRPF jawan Y S Rao had succumbed to the viral disease.
