Four killed in road accident

Four persons were killed when the car they were travelling in collided with a truck on the Durg-Rajnandgaon bypass road in Durg district on Sunday, police said.

The mishap occurred at around 2 A.M. near Bafna toll plaza when the car, headed towards Rajnandgaon, rammed the truck near Dhamdha Naka under the Mohan Nagar police station limits, killing all four occupants, a police official told PTI.

They were identified as Girish Tyagi (24), Sandeep Rathore (23), Neeraj Yadav (27), all natives of Janjgir-Champa district, and Raghav B (25). The impact of the collision was such that the car got tossed in air and landed a few feet away, police said.
