Fire breaks out at Mumbai Police Commissioner’s office

A fire broke out on Sunday at the city police commissioner’s office in south Mumbai destroying many documents.

The fire broke out at the Weapons Licence Renewal Department inside the commissioner’s office due to short circuit, officials said, adding no person was injured.

Four fire engines were rushed to the spot and fire was extinguished.

Though the exact damage is yet to be ascertained, the officials said several files and documents got burnt in the fire.
