Preparing the Communist Party of India (Marxist)'s strategy for the second part of the budget session, when the Finance Bill and other important legislative agenda will come up for discussion, will be on top of the agenda at the party's two-day Polit Bureau meeting beginning here on Thursday.
The party already expressed concern over the inability of the government to take steps to control the prices of essential commodities and is planning a major countrywide campaign against it on April 8 through picketing and programme to court arrest.
The Lok Sabha will resume its sittings on April 15 after recess when Standing Committees scrutinise Demands-for Grants for various Ministries.

Moves are afoot to bring cut-motion when the Finance Bill is taken up for consideration and passing in the Lok Sabha as a measure of protest by the Left Parties. Besides this, the Polit Bureau will work out the party tactics on Bills, including the Women's Reservation Bill, the Foreign Universities Bill, the Civil Nuclear Liability Bill and the proposed Food Security measure.
Party general secretary Prakash Karat told The Hindu that besides the issues in Parliament, the meeting would review foreign policy issues, including the American role vis-à-vis the Af-Pak strategy.
Earlier New Delhi expressed concern over the decision of Washington to supply sophisticated weapons to Islamabad. Defence Minister A.K. Antony voiced India's disquiet over the development citing past experience when such supplies were used against India instead of intended deployment in the fight against terror.
