Noted CPI leader Kamala Bhagwat died here on Monday.
She was 94.
Ms. Kamala who plunged into the freedom struggle in 1934, later became a full time activist of CPI and championed the cause of working class with participation in trade union movement in Maharashtra.

She was also in the forefront of the Samyukta Maharashtra movement and Goa liberation struggle.
Leaders of CPI and CPI(M) here paid rich tributes to the contribution of Ms. Bhagwat to the Leftist movement spanning many decades.
