More than 36 hours after the shocking incident of loot and rape at a village in Bayalish Mouza on the outskirts of the city here, the Commissionerate police are still clueless about the miscreants of the sensational incident.
“We have raided over a dozen places in and around Cuttack city during this period but no significant headway has been made to establish the identities of the miscreants”, informed an ACP-rank officer of the city police associated with the investigation. The police however, admit that one person is detained and is being grilled.
At least four intruders allegedly raped a married woman after looting her jewellery, cash and a mobile phone at a village under Bayalish Mouza on Tuesday night. The woman was at home with her two minor children.
