Three persons went missing in Sileru river in Malkangiri district of Odisha when the boat in which they were travelling capsized on Monday night.
This mishap occurred in Chitrakonda tehsil. The boat was carrying six persons from Kudmanur panchayat of Kalimela block. Three of them were from were from Sanyasiguda village while the other three were from Mariguda. According to Chitrakonda tehsildar F. Majhi, all of them had visited Alurpeta of Andhra Pradesh on the other side of the village to collect essential commodities like rice. The mishap occurred while they were returning back.
According to reports, the three villagers from Mariguda swam to shore when the boat capsized.
