3 Hurriyat leaders arrested

Police on Wednesday arrested three local Hurriyat leaders, who were planning to enforce a bandh in Surankote town of Poonch district.

Police raided the houses of Hurriyat leaders Hanief Kalas, Irshad Hussain and Omar in Surankote town and arrested them.

They were planning to enforce a bandh in Surankote town in support of Hurriyat’s call for a bandh in Kashmir Valley, they said.

DSP Surankote, Parbeet Singh, said they have been arrested to maintain law and order in the district.
