12-year-old boy shot dead by younger brother in Mozoram

The mishap occurred when their father left his loaded hunting gun near the fire place at their home.

A 12—year—old boy was accidentally killed when his younger brother shot at him with their father’s hunting gun in Serchhip district of Mizoram, a police officer said on Tuesday.

R C Lalchuangkima of East Lungdar village, after returning from the jungle, left his loaded gun near the fire place in his home on Monday night. His 8-year-old son John Kennedy (8) picked up the gun and accidentally shot his elder brother, David Lalengzuala.

Lalengzuala’s head was practically blown off by the bullets, the police officer said.
