11 die in Chhattisgarh accident

Ten women and a girl died in an accident in Balod district of Chhattisgarh on Thursday. 29 people were injured in the accident out of which five continue to be critical, informed Balod district Superintendent of Police (SP) Anwar Sheikh.

“The accident took place near Armurkasa village, around 20 kilometres from district headquarters when a truck carrying around 50 people collided with a trolley coming from opposite direction. Ten women, all between the age group of 40 to 45 and a 14-year-old girl died on the spot,” said Mr. Sheikh.

The injured persons were admitted to a hospital in Balod.
