‘Goa govt. spent Rs. 500 on first visit by Kejriwal’

Apart from deputation of police personnel for security purposes, the Goa government spent only Rs. 500 on the first visit of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in May this year.

An amount of Rs. 500 was spend on a floral bouquet presented to the CM at the airport on his arrival, according to a written reply given in the State Legislative Assembly on Monday during the question hour.

In a reply to a question by MLA Francisco Pacheco, Minister for Protocol Dilip Parulekar said that during Mr. Kejriwal’s first Goa visit in May, 82 police personnel were deputed for his security arrangements.

He further stated that 26 policemen were allotted as part of security arrangement for the second visit of Mr. Kejriwal to Goa in June.

“He did not avail accommodation at State guest house. State Protocol presented flower bouquet amounting to Rs. 500 on his first visit,” Mr. Parulekar said in his written reply.

Mr. Kejriwal has been visiting the State after the Aam Aadmi Party declared its intention to contest the March 2017 Goa Assembly polls.
