The byelection to the Manjari Zilla Panchayat constituency will be held on February 1. Nomination papers can be submitted from January 13 and the last date of filing nomination is January 20. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be taken up on January 21 and the last date of withdrawal is January 23. Polling will be held on February 1 and counting of votes on February 4. Assistant Commissioner of Chikkodi has been appointed as returning officer , according to Deputy Commissioner N. Jayaram here on Friday.
