Yeddyurappa accuses CM’s son of corruption

May 09, 2017 05:17 pm | Updated 05:17 pm IST - Belagavi

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s son S. Yatindra is engaging in corrupt activities, State BJP chief and former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa alleged in Belagavi on Tuesday.

Though Dr. Yatindra keeps denying it, a benami firm run by him is being paid by the tax-payers’ money, the BJP leader told presspersons. “Dr. Yatindra is the head of a medical diagnostics centre near Bowring Hospital. He is signing its documents and cheques but denies ownership of the firm. This centre keeps getting significant amount of money from the State government. We have all related documents of this irregularity,” he alleged.

Mr. Yeddyurappa said he would wait for the Chief Minister’s reply and then produce documents to back his allegations. BJP is devising a strategy to win 15 of the 18 Assembly seats in Belagavi district, he said.

He met members of the party’s medical practitioners morcha in Vijay Hospital. He later held a core committee meeting in a private guest house in Camp area.

MP Suresh Angadi, MLAs Lakshman Savadi and Sanjay Patil and others were present. Party MLA Bhalchandra Jarkiholi, considered the leader of a party rebel faction, did not attend. Mr. Yeddyurappa told reporters he did not know why Mr. Jarkiholi could not make it to the meeting.
