A 50-year-old woman who had consumed poison on Saturday evening died on Monday in the Tumakuru District Government Hospital in Tumakuru city.
The police said that the deceased has been identified as Saroja Bai of Anupanahalli Thanda in Sira taluk in the district. The police said that unable to bear the stomach ache she was suffering from, Saroja Bai allegedly consumed pesticide on Saturday evening.
She was shifted to Tumakuru District Government Hospital on the same day but her condition worsened and she died in the morning.
