Will ask people to revolt against BJP: CM

Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has said he would appeal to the people of the State to revolt against the BJP if leaders of that party continue to disturb the government and make efforts to destabilise it.

He told presspersons near Hirisave in Channarayapatna taluk on Thursday that he had been working for the welfare of the people. “How long should I bear the petty politics by the BJP? I have to respond to people’s problems. If the BJP continues to disturb the government, I will give a call to the people of the State to revolt against it.”

Reacting to the allegation that the government had not yet taken off, Mr. Kumaraswamy opined that BJP State President B.S. Yeddyurappa did not know the meaning of the word ‘take-off.’ “If the government had not taken off yet, why did one of their associates flee to Sri Lanka?” he wanted to know without taking the name of Uday Gowda, a BJP worker, who has been allegedly meeting MLAs to lure them to the BJP fold.
