Siddaramaiah completed one year as Karnataka CM on May 13

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday said the Cente had to cooperate with the State government as per the provisions of the Constitution, and the State would reciprocate.

Mr. Siddaramaiah said: “I wish all the best to Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi. We are expecting full cooperation from the Modi government.” In a federal arrangement, the State and Centre had to function in accordance with the Constitution. The Congress-led Manmohan Singh government had extended full cooperation when a Bharatiya Janata Party government was in power in the State, he said.

He was speaking to presspersons after releasing a booklet on the achievements of his government which completed one-year in office on May 13.
