Valuable contribution

The U.S. students, who spend about five weeks on a project as part of their short duration programme at VIIS, have also made valuable contribution to Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM), which runs the VIIS.

A student from the U.S., who took up a project on making labels for the ayurvedic medicines supplied at SVYM’s hospital in the tribal belt at Kenchanahalli in H.D. Kote near here. “The labels he made were so attractive that it helped us market the medicine very well”, said Sindhu Suresh. Similarly, another student revised the school manual at its Viveka Tribal Centre for Learning at Hosahalli. Another student, who analysed the SVYM’s financial report, helped bring about more transparency, she added.
