Udupi district dentists meet on Nov 23

The Udupi District Dentists Conference title “Udaan” would be held here on Sunday, November 23.

Addressing presspersons here on Tuesday, Coordinator of the Organising Committee and members of Udupi District Dentists Association Manoj D’Lima said that the Association had 150 members in the district. This was the first time the Association was organising the conference.

As regards its future plans, the Association aimed at holding workshops or Continuing Medical Education programmes for its members in the days to come. It also planned to hold more dental awareness camps in the district for students and the general public.

Senior dentists of the district would be felicitated at the conference. Bharat Shetty, Vice President of Dental Council of India and Principal of A.J. Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangaluru, would preside over the conference.

Nirmala Rao, Dean of Manipal College of Dental Sciences (MCODS) and Ramachandra Bairy, District Health and Family Welfare Officer would be among the chief guests at the conference, Mr. D’Lima said.

Gururaj Krishnamurthy, Harsha Shetty, Syed Mustafa Hasani and Harshajith Shetty, coordinators of the Organising Committee, were present.
