Two-day Alva’s Pragati job fair from July 6

The Alva’s Education Foundation will hold the 10th annual Alva’s Pragati employment mela on its Vidyagiri campus in Moodbidri on July 6 and 7. Over 200 companies will take part in the two-day fair.

Talking to reporters here on Saturday, managing trustee Vivek Alva said the mela would provide openings for aspirants from basic sciences, commerce, management, arts, nursing, ITI, diploma, engineering and medical streams. While there are more openings in the manufacturing sector, there are jobs on offer in sectors such as healthcare, pharma, automobile, banking, hospitality and education sectors, he said.

Kirloskar Toyota Textile Manufacturing Pvt. Ltd. and Toyotta Industries Engine India are offering jobs for ITI, Diploma and BE (Mechanical) degree holders, and LM Wind Power and Bharat Fritz Werner are offering jobs for women who have done their diploma and B.E from mechanical/electrical streams.

Oracle, Cafe Coffee Day, Vodafone, Reliance Communication are offering jobs for MBA, B.Com, BBA and other graduates. Jobs are being offered for graduates by HDFC, ICICI and Axis banks. There are jobs offered by multinational firms from West Asia too. The B.Ed graduates are being offered jobs by Azim Premji Foundation, Goan Institute and Deshpande Foundation. As many as 40 firms from Mysuru are participating the event, Mr. Alva said.

http://alvaspragati.com/can didates registration page. Online registration will also be done on the campus on July 6. On July 7, the companies will be allowed to hold interview and shortlist the candidates.

The candidates will get stream-wise list of jobs on the Alva’s Pragati website. Apart from jobs in Karnataka, there are openings in several places in south India and in Maharashtra. Job aspirants should come to the event with five passport size photographs and photocopies of their marks card, he said.
