Two Belgaum youths held for theft

The desire to make quick money and fascination for high-end gadgets and lifestyle has landed two young boys from Belgaum city in jail.

Manjeet Manohar Lohar and Sujeet Kiran Pawar, both 19-year-old and residents of Kangrali K.H. in Belgaum city, were arrested by the Malmaruti Police in connection with theft cases. Police have recovered valuables worth Rs. 45 lakhs from them.

The seizure included 550 gm of gold ornaments, 10 kg of silver articles/ornaments, two diamond studded ornaments, two LCD TVs, three Laptops, 18 wrist watches, a Maruti Zen Estilo, two TVS motorbikes, one handicam and two Sony cameras.

Superintendent of Police Chandragupta said while Mr. Manjeet was a college dropout, after he failed in PUC-II, Mr. Sujeet was a student of second year B.Sc. in a local college.
