Traffic diverted in Chikkamagaluru town

The Chikkamagaluru police have decided to divert traffic in Chikkamagaluru town on Tuesday as a large gathering is expected at SJT College on Belur Road, where the counting of the votes polled in the Assembly elections, will be done.

K. Annamalai, Superintendent of Police, in a press release issued here on Monday, said vehicle movement between Azad Park and Kote Circle on Belur Road will be restricted from 6 a.m. till the counting continues.

KSRTC buses heading to Bengaluru from Chikkamagaluru have to take the I.G. Road – K.M. Road – AIT Circle – Bypass – Pai Choultry route to reach Belur Road. Similarly, those reaching the town from Bengaluru have to take Pai Choultry – Kote Cross – Hosmane Circle route to reach the bus stand.
