They were returning to Gopalanahalli after dinner at a relative’s place at Rajaghatta on the outskirts of Hassan when they came in contact with the sagging electric wire.
The incident is said to have happened at around 10.30 p.m., when they were returning home. However, it came to light only on Wednesday morning when villagers found the bodies on the road. Within a few minutes, relatives of the deceased and the villagers gathered at the spot.
The relatives were all in a state of shock, while the villagers blamed the Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Company for the incident. CESC should have stopped the supply of power during heavy rains.

“CESC has killed the three. They cut off power supply several times in a day, but forgot to do it during the rain,” alleged the villagers.
They also refused to lift the bodies till Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Company representatives reached the spot.
