Students win laurels for school

Students from the Chandrasekhar Patil Memorial English Medium School bagged a rich haul of 24 medals in the 27th National All-India Karate Federation Championship held at the Kanteerava Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru from January 30 to February 1.

The students trained at the Kini Mobini Shitoru Karate School under the guidance of coach Vinod Bhoma, won 10 gold medals, four silver and 10 bronze medals in different age groups. The winners included Nandakishore (under 7) who won two gold medals, Sudip (under 11) won one gold and a silver medal, Srikant (under nine) won a gold and a bronze, Poorvi (under seven) won a gold and a bronze, Ananya (under 11) won a gold and a bronze, Sivastav (under 19) won a gold and one bronze and Sourab (under 12) won one gold.
