Strict security arrangements made for KAS exam

The district administration has set up 12 centres to hold Karnataka Administrative Services (KAS) exam on Sunday. The exam will be attended by 10, 508 aspirants.

The information was given during the preparatory meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep on Thursday, where he issued directions to the officials deputed to exam duty ensure fair and copying-free exam. Mr. Randeep said that the Karnataka Public Service Commission has already issued guidelines on the way the exams should be held.

He said that tight police security would be provided to all the exam centres and that no person other than exam supervisor would be allowed inside the exam hall.

Prohibitory orders within five hundred meter radius of the exam would remain imposed till the end of exam. Each one, including the staff members, would be thoroughly frisked before being let in, Mr. Randeep said. Handover any unauthorised person in exam hall to the police, he told the officials, and added that the aspirants have been prohibited from brining mobile phones or any electronic gadgets to the exam centre.
