Class X exam has been advanced by a week

The Department of Primary and Secondary Education has announced the tentative timetable for the SSLC and second pre-university examinations.

While the Class X exam has been advanced by a week, the II PU exam schedule will see fewer gaps between some of the subjects. This has been done owing to the elections to the State Legislative Assembly, which are likely to be held in April/ May. The II PU exam, usually conducted over a span of a month, will now be conducted over a period of 16 days.

Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait said the results of both the exams would be announced by April-end. This time around, teachers from private schools and colleges would be roped in for evaluation so that the process was completed quickly.
