The district administration is organising two sports meets to mark the platinum jubilee of the formation of Mandya district in February, Department of Information and Public Relations has said in a release. While taluk-level meets will be held on February 7 and 8 at taluk headquarters, the district-level meet will be held at Mandya on February 14, the department said, quoting sports committee chairman and Superintendent of Police Bhushan Gulabrao Borase. Mr. Borase has appointed nodal officers for smooth conduct of the events. They are: Shivalingaiah (9900847797) and Paramesh (9844769289) in Mandya; Shivannagowda (9880663171), Nagamangala; G.M.N. Raju (9611013944), Maddur; Manjunath (80448432859 and 94484328859), K.R. Pet; Shivaraju (9844624482), Malavalli; G. Raju (9845796799), Pandavapura; and Cheluvaraju (9741838473), Srirangapatna taluk.
