Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah on Sunday did not rule out the possibility of the BJP entering into a secret pact with the Janata Dal (Secular) to sail through the political crisis in the event the former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa quits the party.
Mr. Siddaramaiah told presspersons here on Sunday that nothing could be ruled out as the relationship between Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda and JD(S) leaders H.D. Deve Gowda and H.D. Kumaraswamy was cordial.
He said the Congress was watching the developments in the State BJP. Congress leaders would meet the Governor to seek his intervention as frequent political instability had hampered governance.

Scotching speculations about the Congress extending support to a splinter group of the BJP, Mr. Siddaramaiah said his party would not open its doors to anyone from the BJP as most of them were tainted.
“Never in the history of State politics has there been so much uncertainty affecting the government's future so often,” Mr. Siddaramaiah said and flayed the BJP for failing to provide an effective and pro-people administration.

He said the latest crisis underlined the failure of crisis management by the BJP high command and flayed it for its double standards on corruption.
While it waxes eloquent on corruption in governance at the Centre, its response to the developments in Karnataka was always muted, the Congress leader said.
He challenged Mr. Sadananda Gowda to dissolve the Assembly and opt for elections, if he believed in democracy.
