Only a 11-km stretch between Matamari and Mantralayam is unfinished and even then, almost 60 per cent of the work has been completed on this stretch. The remaining work, including that on the railway bridge across the Tungabhadra, would be completed before the end of this year,” he said.

The electrification of the tracks between Wadi and Guntakal would also be completed by the end of this year, he added.
