Sand for construction to be distributed from May 25

The Chikkamagaluru district administration will be distributing sand for construction purpose from May 25, an official release issued here on Thursday said. Those requiring sand should submit an application to the assistant executive engineers of Public Works Department in the respective taluks, along with proofs of identity and address, building plan and licence to get sand.

Sand would be made available at stock-yards located at Bettadamane, Donagodu, Angadi, Kanachuru and Hiresigara in Mudigere taluk and Uttameshwara in Koppa taluk. The public would have to choose GPS-fitted trucks for transporting sand to their localities, the release said.
