Four persons have been arrested on charges of conducting 22 robbery and house-break thefts in the district.
SP Prakash Nikam told presspersons on Monday that a team of Bhalki police had recovered 300 grams of gold and 350 grams of silver, Rs. 11,500 and a mobile phone from them.
They were active in the last two years. Their modus operandi was to enter houses wearing trunks and banians, their body covered in oil. They were good runners and escaped after looting. They not only looted locked houses, but also threatened the inmates in some houses. They targeted houses in villages and those near highways and railway lines.
