Recruitment order for 642 veterinary inspectors soon

The State government will issue an order for recruitment of 642 veterinary inspectors in the Animal Husbandry Department in a day or two.

Graduates of Hassan and Shimoga veterinary colleges will not be considered for the recruitment as the Veterinary Council of India has denied accreditation to these colleges, Animal Husbandry Minister T.B. Jayanchandra has said.

During his visit to Delhi on December 16, he would urge Union Minister for Agriculture Sharad Pawar to grant accreditation to these veterinary colleges, Mr. Jayachandra said.

A sum of Rs. 250 crore had been allocated for the development of infrastructure in these colleges, he said.
