Governor of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Raghuram Rajan was in Mysuru on Thursday on a daylong visit.

Dr. Rajan visited the Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudranalaya, RBI’s currency note printing facility, on the outskirts of the city, and held discussions with senior officials. “It was a closed-door meeting with officials of the establishment,” a government official said.

Later, Dr. Rajan, who was accompanied by his wife, Radhika, went to Mysuru palace. Dr. Rajan, who refused to entertain queries from the media, merely said he had come to visit the palace.
