The police have arrested three persons, including a woman, in connection with the rape and murder of a minor girl in Tangadagi village in Shahpur taluk in Yadgir district.
The girl was raped and murdered allegedly by Parvathreddy Rachangouda Malipatil and Mallikarjun Siddalingareddy Hosmani on January 2 when she had gone to wash her clothes in a stream. Shabana Sofisab Pinjar, the main accused in the case, had allegedly conspired with Malipatil and Hosmani to commit the crime.
The accused belong to the same village, according to a press release issued by the Superintendent of Police M. Muthuraya. They were produced before a magistrate and remanded in judicial custody.
