Two bags containing low-intensity explosives were found on a bus

Special teams of the Raichur district police formed to investigate the case of low-intensity explosives that were found on a NEKRTC bus on Friday afternoon near Shaktinagar check-post on the Karnataka-Telangana inter-State border about 18 km from here, have been sent to different parts of the State and neighbouring Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, in search of clues. According to sources in the department, the police teams are visiting some places as part of investigation, based on the initial information gathered after the incident.

On Friday afternoon, the police, who received a call about new ₹ 2,000 being transported on the bus, found two unclaimed bags containing low-intensity explosives. Later, the explosives were defused by a bomb disposal squad that arrived from Kalaburagi. “Our officials are on the field and at this juncture, it is not proper to reveal anything ,” the sources added.
