Poor quality of works irks official

Director of Municipal Administration N. Manjula, on Wednesday, inspected various development works taken up under the Nagarothana Scheme in K.R. Pet Town Municipal Council (TMC).

However, the low quality of works irked the director and prompted her to take officials concerned of the TMC to task.

Ms. Manjula and some other officials of the Municipal Administration Department visited the town and inspected roadworks and a park at Hosa Holalu, Chikkakere, Hemavathi Layout, Agrahara, Marigudi Road, Ganapathi Park, Hemagiri Pumphouse and some other places.

Ms. Manjula expressed dissatisfaction with the poor quality of projects implemented and took officials to task for not monitoring the works. She also instructed the TMC officials to maintain cleanliness in the town limits, sources at the TMC told

Later, speaking to presspersons, Ms. Manjula said that she would recommend the authorities concerned to blacklist the contractors concerned for substandard works.

E. Venkata Ravana Reddy, Planning Director of the District Urban Development Cell, TMC Chief Officer Basavaraju and others were present.
