Peaceful re-poll held in 3 GP wards

Re-polling to three wards of Sulebhavi, Hale Torgal and Hudli Gram Panchayats was conducted peacefully on Sunday.

The re-polling in a ward of Hudli, Khanagaon (B.K.) under Sulebhavi Gram Panchayat of Belagavi taluk and Hale Torgal Gram Panchayat in Ramdurg taluk were ordered following irregularities in the ballot papers noticed during the polling conducted for 480 Gram Panchayats in the district on May 29.

Official sources said the polling in Ward No 2 of Hudli Gram Panchayat recorded 76% voter turnout. In Ward No.10 of Khanagaon (B.K.) the polling was 78 per cent and 86.15 per cent in Ward. 2 of Hale Torgal Gram Panchayat.
